Leo Burnett Heritage

It Started With a Bowl of Apples

Leo Burnett opened his advertising agency in Chicago in 1935, during the Great Depression.

To brighten the office on opening day, he placed a bowl of apples on the receptionist's desk. A local newspaper mocked the gesture, predicting that Burnett would soon be selling apples on a street corner instead of giving them away.

More than 90 years later, that prediction clearly did not come true.

Celebrating 90 Years

To honor Leo Burnett's 90th anniversary, we created a curated collection inspired by Leo's enduring spirit.
